1. Draw the negative space of a chair you have not drawn yet – Pick a new chair!!
2. Now (to the right or left or above or below) draw the mirror image of the chair.
3. Shade in the positive or negative space with some type of pattern (indicating movement by the repetition of elements)

Begin Symmetrical chairs with complementary colors.

Warm Up: #13 Fodder File
1. Grab a couple magazines and find some fodder!
2. What is fodder? Fuel for your visual journal. It’s words, images, etc that you can use in your journal later.
3. Make a collection of images you like.
4. Use one/some of the images in your journal today. Cut/glue/draw on top…
5. The image(s) will be your idea sparker!!
6. Save the rest of the images for a folder we will make today.
7. Clean up your area!!!!!
Today’s Focus – Finish your chair projects & Make a folder in your VJ and work in your visual journal using some of your fodder!!

2. Draw a section of the room that includes a door and or a window.
3. Try to include either the ceiling or the floor as well.
4. Transfer your drawing over to your warm up.

Warm Up: #17- Watercolor Bubbles!!!
1. Grab some watercolor paint, water, and a brush.
2. Paint a juicy watercolor wash on your warm up page.
3. Cover the wash with bubble wrap and let the paint dry.
4. Work on your perspective sighting drawing and come back later to peel the bubble wrap off after the paint has dried!
5. Use this technique in your Vis J this week as an idea sparker when you’re done with your sighting drawing!

Warm Up: #18- Reverse Bubbles
1. Grab some watercolor paint, water, and a brush.
2. Today Paint the bubble wrap instead of the paper.
3. Now stamp the bubble wrap on the page and leave it to dry.
4. Work on your perspective sighting drawing and come back later to peel the bubble wrap off after the paint has dried!
5. Use this technique in your Vis J this week as an idea sparker when you’re done with your sighting drawing!
Today’s Focus: Finish Sighting Drawing
– 5 Textures and 5 Values - Once you are done – on the back list 5 different textures you used and make a list of the places you used 5 different values!!
Then you can “work” in your Vis J today!!! Something new tomorrow!

Warm Up: #20 – Texture Hunt
1. Find and Draw 3 different textures
2. Make the textures look as real as possible!
3. Make sure you choose 3 very different textures that you can actually see here today!
4. Label each texture at the bottom of the drawing.
Today’s Focus: Sighting Drawing - Add Values and Textures, Check warm ups 11-20, visual journal pocket or envelope, etc..
