Turn in Visual Journal Pocket and Drawings
If you are finished: Work in your visual journal, work on homework, help clean out magazine closet, etc…
Art 1 – Label your warm up #22- 5 Spider Webs
1. Draw 5 Spiders.. An oval with 8 legs
2. Write a different category in each spider body
3. Write items that go in the category off of each leg.
If you finish… go back and work on the bird’s eye view perspective drawing that you did or work on creating a one point perspective drawing from your class handout.
Today’s Focus: Work on Fantasy City – choose a theme and begin drawing!!
Homework: This week’s homework drawing is: Dishes in the Sink… Fill up the page… Draw the items around the sink, etc… you may add value if you like.

Warm Up: #23 – One Point Perspective Name
1. Write your name in block letters.
2. Make a Vanishing Point on your paper.
3. Now make the letters in your name go to that vanishing point.
4. Color in the letters.
Today’s Focus: Fantasy City
Homework: This week’s homework drawing is: Dishes in the Sink… Fill up the page… Draw the items around the sink, etc… you may add value if you like.

Warm Up: #24 – Illustrator/Author
Pretend your art career today is an illustrator/author.
Write a short story that would go with your fantasy city.
Today’s Focus: Fantasy City - no color yet
Let me check your drawing before you outline or add any color…otherwise you might have to start over!!
Homework:
Art 1 – Warm Up: #25 - Watercolor Plastic Technique
1. Paint a watercolor wash on your warm up page
2. While it is still wet crunch a piece of plastic on your page.
3. Let it dry while you work on your City
4. Pull it up after about 40 minutes so the rest will have time to dry!
5. Try it in your Vis J sometime!! It makes really cool textures! It’s kind of like one Big bubble wrap page!
Today’s Focus:
1. Finish Fantasy City
2. Visual Journal
Homework:
Art 1 –Warm Up: #26 – Watercolor Salt
1. Paint a watercolor wash on your warm up page
2. While it is still wet sprinkle some salt on your page.
3. Let it dry while you work on your City
4. Go to the trash can and wipe the salt off in about 40 minutes or so!
5. Try it in your Vis J sometime!! It makes really cool textures!

2. Work on any other projects you need to finish up

1. Paint a watercolor wash on your warm up page
2. While it is still wet I will come around and spray your page with 1 squirt of expo cleaner.
3. Let it dry while you work on your City
4. Try it in your Vis J sometime!!

Homework: Under the sink
Art 1 –Warm Up: #28 – Watercolor Pencils
1. Grab one watercolor pencil and draw something and color it in. (You can trade watercolor pencils with a neighbor, just make sure they make it back into the cup and don’t get mixed up with the regular color pencils, please!!)
2. Grab a paint brush and a cup of water to “activate” your drawing!!
3. Let it dry and use this technique in your visual journal sometime!
Today’s Focus:
1. Work on the Fantasy City – outline and add your color, value and texture!!

Homework: Under the Sink Drawing from Life
Art 1 –Warm Up: #29 – Plus, Minus, Delta
Create a plus, minus, delta of your fantasy city.
5 Plus Comments, 5 Minus Comments, 5 Delta Comments
Work on adding, changing, deleting things from your city to make it the very best.
Remember: Color, Texture and Value
When you finish, fill out the critique sheet and tape it on the back
