Label your warm up #31- Altered Page
1. Find a page from a magazine and glue it down.
2. Then add other images, cross out words, draw or paint on top of the pictures and do things to alter the page.
Today’s Focus: Finish action figure projects then work in your visual journal!
Homework: This week:
Art 2 - Warm Up: #32 – Blind, Modified and Regular Contours
1. Choose one object and draw it 3 times: One Blind, One Modified and One Regular Contour Drawing.
2. Blind Contour – Looking at the object: 100%; Look at paper: 0%
3. Modified Contour – Look at the object: 95% and when you are drawing; Look at paper: 5% and only when pencil is moved to a new location or if you lose your place.
4. Regular Contour – Drawing the edges of the object, bumps and ridges and outlines, no shading – Look at the object 85-90%; Look at your paper: 15%-10% and only to adjust placement.
5. Then fill in the negative or positive space with repeating patterns.
Today’s Focus: Finish the action figure painting, Begin Contours of Figures

1. Draw a blind, modified blind and regular contour drawing of several objects.
2. Fill in the positive or the negative space with patterns.

1. Divide your warm up paper into sections by drawing vertical, diagonal and horizontal lines.
2. Fill in the shapes with different patterns.
3. Don’t use the same pattern twice.
4. Use Regular, Alternating and Random Patterns.

· Review Patterns in Classwork Section
· Figures by Design: Contour Figures
· Go over how to make a pop up page or share examples (Journal Fodder Junkie book or Google pop ups on the Internet)
